Meet the Team
-
Dianne Everitt - Clinical Psychologist
I am particularly passionate about working with high achievers and high functioning anxiety. If on the surface you look like you have it all together, but the implicit voice of self-doubt plagues you, then we will probably work well together.
I am someone who holds myself to a high standard, and understand the double-edged sword that can be. My style is warm, and I value humour, honesty and authenticity. I believe change happens from the inside out - when we can get to the root of why you are stuck, we can figure out how to create lasting change. I love using the science of the mind, brain, and body, to understand why we struggle.
-
Dr Kate Wordsall - Consultant Psychiatrist
I qualified as a doctor in 1989 from the University of Bristol. I work with adult Mental Health with a range of difficulties, including neurodiversity and Adult ADHD.
Since making a diagnosis of ADHD is a complex process where we rule out other possibilities that may account for symptoms of ADHD, I believe a multidisciplinary approach is a comprehensive way to ensure an accurate diagnosis. If you have been diagnosed and you wish to explore medication as a treatment option, and it is appropriate for you, I will work with you to get you onto the right type of medication as well as the right dose.
-
Stephanie Ford - Counselling Psychologist
I specialise in neurodiversity (autism and ADHD), trauma, complex PTSD, and inner child work, and work with both adolescents and adults. If you recognise feelings of shame or guilt, feel like you have to be self-sufficient and independent, and anxiety drives you to overcompensate for perceived shortfalls, we will likely work well together.
My style in therapy is warm, honest, and intuitive, and I work collaboratively to approach problems in a creative way. I have always had a particular interest in people who feel misunderstood or who aren’t given a voice, and aim to help you develop strategies to feel more grounded.
-

-
Dr Joanna Lodge - Clinical Psychologist
With over 10 years experience, I have worked in a range of mental health difficulties. In my NHS role, I work with complex mental health, trauma, and supporting families to help their loved one. In private practice, my focus is on high-achievers and trauma.
I work from a CBT framework to start with, and have additional training in other approaches that I will implement when needed. These include compassion focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and EMDR. I am thorough and pride myself on an excellent standard of care.
-
Dr Naomi Middleton - Clinical Psychologist
I offer ADHD assessments to older adolescents and adults. Through my years of work as a therapist, I have worked with an increasing number of individuals with undiagnosed ADHD. This often looks very similar to depression, anxiety, unmet potential, and almost always comes with a fractured self-image.
Receiving the correct treatment for ADHD is life-changing, and the first step towards this is a comprehensive assessment. When offering an assessment, my aim is to be comprehensive, so that you can access the right treatment.
Specialist Areas
We want to be the best at what we do, and so we only work with areas that we can confidently say we are expert in. We have highlighted our main areas of expertise below, but also offer online counselling in Guildford & Wimbledon for other difficulties when they overlap with these.
-
Anxiety
Anxiety is very rarely a cause and effect type of mechanism. For most people, waves of anxiety hit out of the blue, and can be difficult to work with when we don’t understand it. Anxiety hijacks our brains and makes it difficult to function as our logical and in-control selves. Our Psychologists are anxiety specialists, from panic attacks to high functioning anxiety.
-
Self-esteem
The image that we hold of ourselves is the foundation that drives most of our behaviour. If our self-esteem is poor, we are more prone to people pleasing behaviours, tend to be more critical of ourselves, and can lose site of who we really are. Our Psychologists all understand the mechanisms of self-esteem well, and work to build more self confidence.
-
Relationships
Relationships are the essence of life. Whether you want to work on your relationship with yourself, some unfinished business from past relationships, are struggling with current relationships, or fearful of future relationships, our relationship counselling in Guildford and Wimbledon works to develop effective interpersonal strategies.
-
Burnout
Burnout is what happens when the cumulative effects of prolonged stress leave you depleted. You lose your motivation, brain fog sets in, and you feel like a less competent, less capable version of yourself. Our psychologists can help you with the recovery process and put some effective strategies in place to reduce the impact of stress.
-
Trauma and Complex PTSD
Sometimes we get stuck on experiences in our past that prevent us from living the life we want to live in the here and now. If there are experiences from your past that have left you with unfinished business and are holding you back, working in a trauma-informed way with on eo four psychologists can be life changing.
-
Autistic Spectrum Condition
Most people who are on the spectrum spend their lives with an underlying feeling that they are slightly different from everybody else. Therapy provides a space to understand these differences, and work on the impact on your mental health and relationships. We can help you develop tools and strategies to help you cope better.
-
ADHD
ADHD affects every area of life, from emotional regulation to relationships. Understanding the neurobiology of ADHD and how this interacts with mental health is essential to treating it. The good news is that there is so much that can be done to rewire neural pathways for those with ADHD. We offer both diagnostic assessments, as well as coaching and therapy for ADHD.
-
Parenting
As parents ourselves, our parenting experts fully appreciate how helpless our children’s struggles can render us. Our online parent coaching gives you a space to gain a deeper understanding of what your child is struggling with, and what they might need from you. From the post - partum period through to adolescent behaviours, we can help.
